Are you searching for Minecraft files to create for your kids? I definitely was, and I sat in front of my laptop for days trying to create these printable images and cut files. Not a quick thing to do, but my kids are so into Minecraft, Super Mario, Roblox and many more.
Let me show you step by step how to create this Minecraft Birthday Banner. But first don’t forget to grab my free svg file in my resource library.
So you’re going to cut all the pieces with your cutting machine using my free cut files (they are in my free resource library — request and get the password at the bottom of this post).
You can also watch the video tutorial on my YouTube channel.

SUPPLIES USED:
Design Space
I am making a banner and there are two files for this.
– Upside down Triangle (.svg)
– Print out for the top of the triangle (.png)
Once you are in Design Space, go to the left side panel and upload.
Upload, and then Browse (search for the folder that you downloaded from my blog). You will find multiple printables and svg files like food labels, invitations, water bottle printables, for shirts and banner. If you are unable to upload, there’s a possibility that the folder hasn’t been unzipped.
Tip: When you upload images, see the difference of the screen when you upload an actual cut file vs. printable (see below images).
This is what the screen looks like when you upload a cutting file (Photo 1).
Name the file, put a tag if you’d like.
Then click Save.

Click Save.

Then choose 2 of the files that you’ve uploaded.
Click insert.

Then click on both image resize both to 5 inches in width.

See how the upside down triangle has holes. But the print out doesnt have one?
Make a duplicate of the triangle and move it to the right side.

Then select both of these layers on the left.
Click on Align and choose Align Top.

Then Align again, and choose Center Horizontal

Both is still selected. Now go to the bottom right panel and click Slice.

Now move the printed layer to the right.
Select the images to the left and delete.

We still have 2 layers if you look at the right side panel.
Select both layers.
Click Align, scroll to Align Top.

Then align again and center horizontal

The layers are still selected. Now click group.
This will keep the layers together and in place.
So no matter where you click on the image, either layer will not move.

Next, click on text and type letter H.
Then on the top left panel, change the font.

Then click on system.

Go to the search box and type Minecrafter for font (you can download it from dafont.com).
Then click Enter.

Change the font color to Green.

Grab a shape.
Change the color to White.

Change the shapes color to White.

See how the shape is covering the letter H?
While the image is selected, click Arrange.
Then select Move Backwards.

Resize the shape.
Grab the letter and place it on top of the White Circle.

Then resize the letter H.

So now, im going to move the letter H away from the banner..
Select these 3 layers and group it.

Then duplicate the grouped layers 17 times.

Ok now, double click on the letter H. There will be a box that shows up.
Finish up typing the text to HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Then click on the Happy Birthday and see the dimensions on the top panel.
This would be ok, if i were to use a 12×12 cardstock. However, I only have a cardstock paper sized 8.5 x 11 in inches.

While the Happy Birthday is selected. I’m going to click Ungroup.
And then click Make It.

Preview Screen
We are now on the preview screen and it will show you multiple mats.
Mat #1 and #2 shows you it’s a Print Then Cut.
Verify the material size.
(No need to mirror, since I will be using a label sticker).

Mat #3
Im going to change the material size to letter size.

Now on mat #5.
I’m doing the same thing, change the material size to letter size.

Scroll down to Mat #14.
Change the material size on that as well.

Moving An Object From 1 Mat To Another Mat
Now let me show you what im going to do next.
See how there’s multiple brown mats and there are only 2 layers on each mat?

Im going to choose one of the brown mats, and it doesnt matter which one you choose. I just prefer to click on the last one.
Click on the shape and 3 dots on the top left will pop up.
Choose move the object.

The screen below will ask you to select which mat you’d like to place the object to.
Choose the mat.
Then click Confirm.

Click on the object to move.
Rotate the object.
Then place it where it’s necessary, so you we can maximize the space.
Then go back to mat #13 (this will be a repetitive process).
Click on the object.
Choose the mat.
Then click Confirm.
Move the object.
Rotate the object.
Then move where it’s appropriate.
Then do the same for the rest of the brown mats (repetitive process).
Print Settings
Lets go back to Mat #1, and click Continue.

Click Send to Printer.

Turn on the system dialog
Turn off the bleed button
Click print

And right here im going to change from layout to print settings.
And right here, make sure that it is in color
Then for print quality, im choosing best
Then click print

So once it’s done printing, im just going to take the print out
place it on the cutting mat.
Take it to the cricut machine to load.
Cut Settings
Then go back to the screen to change the cut settings.
Go to the right side and click Browse All Materials.

It now takes you to this screen, then I’m going to type paper.
You can pick and choose what is the best setting for your project.
The machine I am using is the Cricut Maker on this project so you will see that this setting will cut through the paper. And the reason I am doing this is because, when I used this same setting on my Explore Air. It did a kiss cut instead.
Click done.
On this screen, you can choose the pressure to less, more, or stay on default.

Then go back to your machine and see if it’s starts blinking.
If it is, click start.
Once its done cutting, unload the mat and prepare the next mat.
And right here, I wanted to show you how to change setting for other materials.
Just click on this arrow.
Just make sure that you are on the right mat.

You can either browse all materials if necessary.
But for me I already have my cardstock as my Favorite. So im just going to click Cardstock.

Choose the pressure.

Prepare and place cardstock on the cutting mats.
Then load the mat to the cutting machine.
Once the machine starts blinking, click the start button.
And I wanted to show you that when you are trying to remove a smaller piece of cardstock like this one, you can use the cricut spatula to help you lift the paper off of the cutting mat.
And sometimes i like to fold the mat on a taco shape and i gently peel off the cardstock off of the cutting mat.
Use Cricut Spatula Fold like a taco shape
Take the cardstock and print out. Remove the backing of the label.
Line it up on top of the banner and press.
Grab the circle.
Use a double sided tape or glue for this.
Place it on top of the banner.

Then do the same for the letter and place it on top of the shape.
Use a double sided tape or glue for this.

Finish up the banner.
And add a twine to it.

Check out the other printables I created, such as for the water bottles, food labels, invitation and a couple shirts. So don’t forget to grab these files on my resource library for you to use.

I am so happy how everything turned out, and I can’t wait for my son to see it. He will love it!
Let me know what you guys think of this project. And I hope that you all enjoy and Happy crafting!
